The Michigan Project was commissioned by our old friend John Gabriel, who is a current State Champion in MI and CA. John the Roadie, just keeps killing it no matter where he lives. Another great kit made in LA by Brandt-Sorenson.
Like the rugged fur traders who founded the state, the Michigan cyclist faces snow and bone chilling winds during winter and spring. However, enduring these training conditions can lead to a Michigan State Cycling Championship victory in summer. The Bib Shorts and Jersey features the official colors of the state flag. The design is based on the original 1670′s Hudson Bay Company seal, which the Great Seal of Michigan was modeled. It bears the company motto “pro pelle cutem” translated to “For the pelts which we collect, we risk our skin”. This project was commissioned by John Gabriel, who is a former Army marathon runner and current Michigan State Champion. The Championship version is available to all current or former state champions and a standard version is available to all athletes.
