I have been waiting to see footage from John and Mission Workshop’s trip to China earlier this year. Just with this short teaser, I can’t wait for me own adventure rides later this summer and fall. Good stuff guys!
Setting out from Shanghai, John Watson and Mission Workshop began their cycling tour of China’s Yangtze River Delta. Using both film and digital formats, Watson photographed the surroundings and encounters with the local community. Led by their friends from Factory Five, they headed into a frenetic network of massive residential complexes, large industrial parks, and super highways. At first glance, the route seemed straightforward, however, the reality of the 1,000km trip was far more intense than anyone expected.
The homies from Mission Workshop are out in Taiwan for the Taipei International Cycle Show and a few weeks or so of riding China’s Yangtze River Delta on CX Bikes. Tonight (now over there), they are throwing a bike party in Taipei and had to extend an invite even though I can’t make it (jerks). Head over to Mr. Prolly’s site for full coverage of the show and trip… I’m not jealous or anything…
Giro’s new line of clothes has arrived and so have the male models. Ty and John actually make these clothes look good and I for one can’t wait to get my hands on a couple of these pieces from the New Road. The bibs and jersey’s have really caught my eye. Head over to Prolly for a great write on his adventures during the shooting on the line a few months ago and go to Giro to get the scoop direct from them.
